In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is planned to reform military commissariats into Territorial Recruiting and Social Support Centres. Currently, this experimental attempt is carried out in Chernihiv and Kozeletz Regional Military Commissariats. This information was provided during the briefing on November 1 by Valerii Dendebera, the Head of the Department of Recruitment and Conscription – the Deputy Chief of the Office of Recruiting and Manning of the Main Directorate of Personnel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The recruiting centres will be established with the aim of implementing more drastic measures concerning recruitment for contract-based military service. Each kind of military force will have its own conscription procedure.
The colonel Valerii Dendebera claims that territorial recruiting centres will differ from military commissariats in their new approach towards conscription. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it has been planned to change the passive way of recruitment into a more active one. In particular, special recruitment centres will be organized to inform the population on the peculiarities of contract-based military service.
A similar approach is common for the USA, France, and Germany.
