Yesterday, the Government has approved the State target program on reforming and development of the military-industrial complex (MIC) in the midterm. Implementation of this program will cover all components of the MIC management, from institutional and legislative support to the development of international cooperation and exports.
According to the adopted Program, measures will be aimed at financial recovery of companies, use of scientific achievements in production, automation of management processes. This year the attention will be focused on assessing the capability of Ukrainian defense industry to adopt its rules and procedures with the international standards, in particular with those operating in NATO countries.
Also, the new Program will allow upgrading the production facilities of MIC using industry principle. In particular, it will enable the state to implement the industry programs, an example of which is the State Target Program of creation and development of ammunition and special chemistry products production, adopted in March this year.
According to the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Yuriy Brovchenko, many Program activities are in progress. They include a new format of price formation, state guarantees, and implementation of defense planning (three-year state defense order). It is not possible to read the text of this document, as it is classified secret.
