According to the Government Decree №96, which entered into force on Mar.6, local budgets will receive 13.44% of the excise tax on the manufactured and imported into Ukraine fuel.
The changes should facilitate real reporting on the process of fuel sale, and provide higher and more stable revenues from the sale of fuel to the budget.
The distribution of incomes will be carried out daily between the regions.
By the end of the first half of 2017, the State Fiscal Service has to calculate the volume of fuel sold in each territorial unit and transmit this information to the Ministry of Finance.
According to the document, the State Treasury should allocate shares of the excise tax on fuel that was purchased before Jan. 1, 2017 between the local budgets.
As reported, in 2016, 5% tax on retail sale of fuel paid to the local budgets was abolished.
