Under the Association Agreement with EU, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food implements new mechanisms to support small and medium farm enterprises. Government assistance includes the use of agrarian receipts, forward programs, extending co-operation, organic farming support and creation of agro-recreational clusters. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Elena Kovaliova at the dedicated conference, which took place on April, 11 in Chernihiv.
Also, implementation of bilateral liabilities as for the Association Agreement implies for reform of food safety governmental regulations. The introduction of HACCP standards and approaching of regulation in this area to EU requirements will promote the development of farming and increase export potential, noticed Elena Kovaliova.
Besides, the Association Agreement provides for the establishment of agro-recreational clusters which will promote rural area development through diversification of the rural economy, added the Deputy Minister. It‘s worth mentioning that this concept can include a list of services that can be received by tourists during the holiday in the countryside.
