On Feb. 21 the Cabinet of Ministers adopted the Resolution “On Approval of the Procedure and Conditions for Granting Subsidies from the State Budget to Local Budgets for the Purchase of Angiographic Equipment”. In particular, in 2017, UAH 150 million is expected to be allocated from the State budget for the development of reperfusion centers providing care to the patients with acute myocardial infarction. The equipment for immediate stenting will be acquired through co-financing from the local budgets.
Angiography devices for X-rays of blood vessels will be purchased for the intensive care hospitals of the level II within the established hospital districts. This step should allow delivering a patient with myocardial infarction to a hospital not later than 2 hours.
The reperfusion centers are open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. All patients requiring stenting will be able to get free treatment. In particular, 11 thousand stent systems will be acquired this year.
Setting up a network of reperfusion centers in Ukraine will allow saving 3 thousand patients annually.
