The State Fiscal Service intends to inspect all entrepreneurs who stopped their activity and de-registered from the tax authorities at the end of Dec. 2016, Head of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) Roman Nasirov has said.
According to his words, the inspection should help to find out enterprises that didn’t declare their incomes and didn’t pay taxes during the operation. Meanwhile, it will be very difficult to prove, Head of SFS added.
It should be recalled that on Dec. 27, 2016, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the amendments to legislation concerning the activity of individual entrepreneurs. According to the document, from Jan. 1, 2017 individual entrepreneurs have to pay a single social fee amounted to UAH 704 per month, even if they don’t have an income. This decision gave rise to mass appeals of “sleeping” individual entrepreneurs to the centers providing administrative services with a request to terminate their activity.
According to the information of OpenDataBot service, monitoring the registration of data of Ukrainian companies, 158 186 thousand business entities terminated their activity during three weeks after the President’s signing the amendments concerning the activity of individual entrepreneurs. However, Head of SFS noted that for the first month of 2017, 28 thousand business entities were founded.
