The EU will fund salaries of the reformers
19/12/2016

The EU will deliver 104 million Euro to Ukraine for the state administration reform. This will enable paying high salaries to the new reforms staff in the government and regions. The related document was signed in Brussels during the meeting of the Ukraine-EU Association Council.

The financial support will be accessible during five years. It will ensure stable and competitive salaries and awards for those who are responsible for the reforms.

The Department of no more than 20 persons at the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers will be the lead agency in reforming the country. It will follow the implementation and coordination of the reforms.

The Special Commission has already selected eighteen state secretaries for the Ministries. They will work until 2020 and will not leave in case of resignation of the government or the Minister. They will be responsible for the stable operation of the personnel at the Ministry.

The specialists in reforms issues will be appointed by the end of next year. They will take responsibility for the implementation of the reforms at their institution. The number of those is unknown yet.

Also, the EU funds will be spent on the introduction of the system of e-governing and improvement of the operation of the centers of delivering the administrative services.
