The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed private companies to create corporate pre-school educational institutions. Relevant amendments to the law “On Preschool Education” were adopted during a meeting on Feb. 14.

Now, companies will not be able to create corporate kindergartens independently, one of the founders of the institution have to be a local authority. Also, public organizations can become a partner of corporate kindergartens.
According to the law, groups of these kindergartens should be composed of up to 15 children, not more 3 of which having special needs. It is also proposed to involve an assistant along with an instructor in such groups.

The Minister of Education, Liliya Grynevych hopes that corporate kindergartens help to solve the problem of shortage of pre-school educational institutions in Ukraine. At of the end of 2016, more than 75 thousand pre-school children were in line for adoption in kindergarten.
