The Selection Committee elected the Head of the Agency on disclosure, investigation, and management of assets earned due to acts of corruption and other crimes. Deputy Minister of Justice Anton Yanchuk won the competition.
The Cabinet of Ministers’ website informed this.
According to the legal procedure, upon the law enforcement request, the Agency will search for the assets in Ukraine and abroad, register the arrested and seized property and administer it. For example, corrupt acts associated with Ukraine’s ex-President Viktor Yanukovych come out 163 billion UAH, as Deputy Head of the State Financial Monitoring Service Anton Kovalchuk said.
Nomination of Anton Yanchuk yet must be affirmed by the Cabinet of Ministers. Otherwise, the competition will be repeated.
Candidate of legal sciences Anton Yanchuk was born in Kyiv. Since 2015, he worked as a lawyer in different companies. In 2014 he became a Deputy Minister on European Integration Issues and later – a Deputy Minister of Justice.
