This year, during July-November, the Ministry of Defence reformatted its structure. As a result, the number of personnel of the Ministry was reduced to 191 members – 36 military men and 155 employees. The Deputy Minister of Defence, the chief of staff Colonel General Alexander Dublian informed this today.
15 units were disbanded, nine created, two reformed and the personnel was changed within 16 units. Also, nine new Heads of the units were appointed.
To Mr. Dublian’s words, this enabled to renew the administration of the Ministry of Defence and come close to the standards of NATO country members.
To remember, the government approved the revised version of the Order on the Ministry of Defence on October 19, having introduced 79 amendments.
