Customs reform will simplify the procedure of correction of customs declarations. The decision was taken by the Government on the initiative of the Ministry of Finance. The changes are aimed at resolving issues raised by business representatives during meetings with the Prime Minister and the Business Ombudsman Council.
Simplification of customs declaration will help to speed up the procedure of registration of goods and services at the border, improve the mechanism of returning overpaid customs duties, solve the issue on correction of customs declarations, create favorable conditions for foreign trade.
In particular, according to amendments to the Regulation on customs declarations corrections of customs declarations will become customs duty instead of right. Business representatives meanwhile will not have to make additional statements or requests. Also, entrepreneurs will be able to correct customs declarations themselves.
