The State Property Fund received no applications for participation in the call for purchase of the Odesa Port Factory (OPF). The Deputy General Director of the factory Mykola Shchurikov informed this on his Facebook page.
The main clients to buy the 99,6% of factory’s stock, the companies PrAT “Ukrnaftoburinnia” and DCH, – refused to take part in this competition.
According to Shchurikov’s words, representatives of these companies complain about the inefficiency of the State Property Fund. They affirm of no opportunity to take part in the negotiations, and receipt of the out-of-date information from the Fund, and unjust agreement relating the liability of the potential buyers.
In 2009 the State Property Fund announced a competition for purchase of 99,567% of the state chunk of the factory. Since that time, several Ukrainian businessmen owned its assets in turns. In 2014, within the state property administration reform, the factory was put up for sale once more.
In 2015, the First Deputy Chairs of the Board of “Naftogaz Ukraine” and OPF Serhiy Perelom and Mykola Shchurikov were accused of the organization of scheme of gas sales for the factory for higher prices and causing losses to the state of more than 205 million UAH. In November 2016 the National Anti-corruption Bureau (NABU) registered a charge at the court.
