Bodies of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine will assist newly created united communities to formulate budgets for 2017. It was reported by the head of the State Treasury Tatyana Slyuz during a meeting initiated by The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services.
In particular, the head of the Treasury gave a brief view of further steps of united communities, which had held the first local elections in Dec. 2016. First, local self government bodies should register changes to the legal person data as soon as possible, namely village, town or city council elected by a united community, and its executive committee. The next step should be adoption of local budgets. Information contained in the passport should be used to evaluate performance and control budget execution.
It should be recalled, that for two years of decentralization reforms 367 communities were created. Already this year, 159 communities, which had held elections in 2015, switched over to direct budgetary relations with the state budget and received funds for infrastructure development of their territories.
